Bank Negara Malaysia today announced that its international reserves amounted to RM416.1 billion (equivalent to US$135.7 billion) as at March 30.
The central bank said the reserves took into account the quarterly adjustment for foreign exchange revaluation loss following strengthening of the ringgit against major and regional currencies during the quarter.
The reserves were sufficient to finance 9.4 months of retained imports and was four times the short-term external debt, it said in a statement today.
