Kelantan Menteri Besar Nik Aziz Nik Mat, who is still warded for heart complications at the Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital (HUSM) in Kubang Kerian, Kota Bharu, is reported to be stable.

His relative, Bukit Tuku assemblyman Abdul Fatah Harun, said the 81-year-old Pas spiritual advisor was admitted last Wednesday and was advised by doctors to rest at the hospital for follow-up treatment.

"Tok Guru (Nik Aziz) has been asked to rest at the coronary care unit (CCU) to avoid using excessive energy. As usual, his stomach will act up when he eats wrongly or is tired from too many activities," he told Bernama when contacted tonight.

Abdul Fatah said the menteri besar was expected to be discharged soon after he is given another checkup.

He added that the Sultan of Kelantan, Sultan Mohammad V, paid a visit to Nik Aziz yesterday after Friday prayers.
