A tour bus driver claimed trial at the magistrate’s court in Bentong today to a charge of causing death by negligence of two Indian national tourists in Genting Highlands last month.

R Sugumaran, 26, is alleged to have driven the bus in a negligent manner as to lose control of the vehicle which skidded and crashed into a road divider before overturning at Km4.5 Jalan Genting Highlands on March 5.
Magistrate Nurliana Ismail set bail at RM5,000 in one surety and fixed May 29 for re-mention.
The accused was unrepresented.
In the March 5 incident, Rajindra Kumar Agarwal, 67, died while being ferried to the hospital while Anita Aggarwal, 59, died at the scene of the crash.
