Sarawak assistant minister for public health said that it is only fair for the government to prioritise BN supporters in disbursing aid and allocating development projects.
Dr Jerip Susil (left) was reported by the
Borneo Post
as saying that this was because government funds are limited.
“The government does not stop people from supporting any party they like but the fact is government funds are limited and it is needed by BN supporters.
“It’s only fair that those who support BN receive government allocations... if you don’t support BN, it’s fair that what is given to you be given to BN supporters instead,” he said.
He added that he was not trying to “scare voters” into voting for BN, but priority will be given to BN voters, including for basic ammenities like water, electricity and roads.
“If we don’t give it to (BN supporters) then they will not support us in the future,” said the SUPP representative for Bengoh.
