The MCA Beliawanis lodged a follow-up report with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) today over “doctored” pictures depicting its leader Tee Hooi Ling in the nude.
“I just want MCMC to investigate the matter and take the blog offline,” Tee told Malaysiakini today.
This followed their earlier police report on the same matter on Monday.
“I am not the kind of person. It was a photo superimposed with my picture,” added the Beliawanis chief.
However, she added that the MCMC official who took her report informed her that the blog was based on Wordpress.com and hosted overseas.
As such the commission can only request that the service provider remove it and instruct them to remove her doctored picture.
Tee herself lodged the report at the MCMC headquarters in Putrajaya at 10am today, accompanied by Wanita MCA secretary-general Senator Chew Lee Giok and about 25 others from Beliawanis and the women’s wing of the Chinese-based party.
A blog calling itself SuaraKeadilanMalaysia had posted “doctored” pictures of Tee along with a story that she offered herself to Prime Minister Najib Razak in exchange for a seat in the general election.
MCA had lambasted the blog and its operators as being insensitive to women and practicing dirty politics.
