More members of parliament or former members of parliament will be charged soon with regards to making false travel claims from Parliament, the Sun newspaper reported today.

It quoted sources as revealing that the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) had met over the last few days to discuss some of the remaining MPs implicated for making false travel or lodging claims.

They said that at least four more will be charged under Section 11 (C) of the Anti Corruption Act.

Two former opposition parliamentarians were charged in the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court on Thursday with making false travel and accommodation claims.

However, Mohd Apandi Mohamad (PAS-Jeli) and Ramli Ibrahim (Keadilan-Kota Bharu) pleaded not guilty to all the charges.

In September last year, it was revealed that 14 MPs had made travel claims which were in excess of the RM10,000 a month limit.

The others MPs accused are: Jawah Gerang (BN-Lubok Antu), Abdul Rahman Yusof (PAS-Kemaman), Abdul Fatah Harun (PAS-Rantau Panjang), Robert Lau Hoi Chew (BN-Sibu), Mastika Junaidah (BN-Arau), Kong Chor Har (BN-Lumut), Hoo Seong Chang (BN-Kulang), Lim Bee Kau (BN-Padang Serai), Goh Kheng Huat (DAP-Nibong Tebal), Abu Bakar Othman (BN-Jerlun), Mohd Nasir Che Daud (PAS-Kuala Krai), Dr James Dawos Mamit (BN-Mambong), Jimmy Donald (BN-Sri Aman) and Ronald Kiandee (BN-Beluran).
