PKR said it will mobilise at least 50,000 people to join the Bersih 3.0 rally at Dataran Merdeka next Saturday.

Secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution said the target number was just 10 percent of the party’s total membership.

Saifuddin explained that although there were some positive outcomes from the parliamentary select committee (PSC) on electoral reforms, PKR views that the government lacked the commitment to truly reform the electoral system.

"Of all issues, we are utmost concerned with the integrity of the electoral roll," said Saifuddin in a statement today.

Asked if PKR will be bussing supporters to the venue, Saifuddin said the members know what to do.

"They've done it for the last 12-13 years, that is already a standard unwritten SOP (standard operating procedure) as far as party members are concerned they know, we just give them a standard instruction, they will come, the bottom line is they have to be there," he said.
