Perlis Menteri Besar Md Isa Sabu has described the statement by Kedah Menteri Besar Azizan Abdul Razak that PAS would wrest Perlis from the Barisan Nasional (BN) in the 13th general election as a joke.

He said Azizan’s statement could turn the other way round with the BN recapturing Kedah as it was now clear that the people in the state would support the BN.

“I know Ustaz Azizan as someone who likes to joke, thus I am certain that his statement was a political joke,” he told reporters after launching the Excellence Day and two new blocks of the SM Agama (P) Kangar today.

He was commenting on the statement by the Kedah menteri besar which was reported by a newspaper recently that PAS would not only defend Kedah but would also wrest Perlis from the BN.

Md Isa said the Perlis BN would not only win the three existing parliamentary seats, but also all the state assembly seats including the two seats in Sanglang and Simpang Empat which were now held by PAS.
