The Foreign Ministry has denied claims that the organs of three Indonesian nationals, who were shot dead by the police during a break-in in Port Dickson on March 24, were harvested before their bodies were repatriated.

The post-mortems carried out on the bodies of the suspected robbers by the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Seremban were done according to procedures, said Wisma Putra in a statement.

It said the hospital attested that it had never taken or removed any internal organs from the bodies during the autopsies which were carried out on March 26 and 27.

The police opened fire after the trio attacked them with machetes.

Wisma Putra said it assisted a special representative delegation from the Indonesian Foreign Ministry in having discussions with the police and Tuanku Jafaar Hospital.

“This includes meeting pathologists, who conducted the post-mortems to get the facts necessary for this case,” he added.
