Pledging their support to Prime Minister Najib Razak and the police, some 500 members of Perkasa, the Malaysian Youth Council, JKKP Baling, Baling Siamese Association, Pekida, Baling Women's and Wives Association, and Puteri Umno, and Malay traders burned the effigies of Anwar and Ambiga today.
Baling Anti-Bersih Movement chairperson Othman Mohd Nor said the people of Baling deplored the rowdy behaviour of the April 28 illegal rally protestors.
Baling Perkasa chairman Wan Mahmud Wan Ibrahim said the violence during the protest could have been engineered by certain elements who were bent on destroying the country.
