your say Bender: To all Bersih supporters everywhere, do not do business with these people ever again.

They lost their business because of their own stupidity. Who told them to close shop on 428 (April 28)? They did it out of their own fear that Bersih is out to ruin their business establishments.

Bersih repeatedly told them not to worry but they chose to listen to ‘Najib the Liar' instead. Now ‘padan muka mereka semua'.

But no, for them that is not enough. They want compensation for their own stupidity. They want the government to use our (taxpayers') money to compensate their (kononnya) losses! How dumb is that?

Bersih Attendee: I think these Malay traders got it awfully wrong. The Malay drink stall near the side-road of Masjid Jamek LRT station was doing a roaring business.

The Malay restaurant fronting Jalan Tun Perak, also near the station, ran out of bottled water and all its can drinks too.

Business was too damn good. The owner was grinning like a Cheshire cat and asked when there will be another Bersih rally.

So, to those cowardly Malay traders, "Tak payah marah orang lain atas pilihan sendiri untuk tutup kedai."

By the way, was there any shop vandalised and things stolen? These Malay traders want another handout and to suck up to their political masters.

Onyourtoes: Just look at the picture of this news report. Even Umno-BN supporters can't think of anything else except certain interesting parts of human body. So need we say more?

Karma: Umno is really desperate. They use whatever means to get back their lost support. Most of those who attended the Bersih 3.0 rally were also traders. They closed their shops to protest!

Do you mean that an Indian woman like Bersih co-chairperson S Ambiga can mobilise such a large group of mostly Malays to come out to demonstrate? Come on, think about it.

Cannon: Look at the banner. See the sex-crazed mind of Umno?

Judge Dredd: I have a good laugh at the pictures the bunch of housewives are carrying. It shows them clearly mocking the emblems of opposition parties with obscene sexual signs, and I feel sorry for those women carrying the banner.

Do they not realise the banner is derogatory towards women. What will their children think?

Geronimo: There is a Chinese saying - when there is a crisis, there is always an opportunity.

At the Bersih 3.0 rally last Saturday, I have personally seen three Chinese coffeeshops and three mamak shops doing roaring business.

Their shops were packed to the brim. They were even charging drinks at exorbitant prices like RM3 for a can of Sprite, but then who cares. It was money truly well spent.

The problem is that these Malay traders are always hoping for pennies to fall from heaven and in most likelihood, they must have been instigated by some Umno evil doers to carry out such a protest, which strangely came about seven days after the major event.

Why wasn't the protest conducted earlier? No guts, eh? The "spill blood to the last drop" shout is so typical of Umno and it is obvious that this was an Umno-instigated affair.

Malaysia Small and Medium Entrepreneurs Alliance (Ikhlas) president Mohd Ridzuan Abdullah, you are a racist to the core in the mould of Umno by making such racially-tainted remarks.

If you want to support a prime minister who is siphoning your money for his own gain, that is your problem. But for the rest us, we want our money to be in good hands and Umno is not one to be trusted. Get it?

CiViC: RM200,000 loss of business in a day, taking into considerations they do half on other days other than Saturdays, they potentially have a turnover of RM3.4 million a month. And these millionaires are actually shouting on the streets over RM200,000?

Kosongcafe: As always, there will be a group ready to condemn any rally, claiming losses in business takings on that day.

They can be considered selfish in the sense that their own profits for just one day override that of the national interest.

The best way to deal with such claims is to let them spell out their business takings for a day. Then check to see if they have income tax files; if not, assess their annual incomes based on the stated average daily takings, less their allowable expenses.

If they do file tax returns, then check to see if they had either overstated their present claims or understated their past incomes.

Kairos: These Malay traders supported by that ultra-racist NGO, Perkasa, are totally blinded by their racism.

Just look at the composition of the rakyat at the rally. A large majority are from their own race. So the rally was never a racial gathering. To call for Ambiga to be chased out of Malay land, and including the Chinese one day, is stupid to the nth degree.

These bigots should be ashamed of themselves and should not call themselves Malaysians any more because the very term means they have to accept that the country is multiracial.

Anonymous #76965586: The country belonged to all Malaysians. It is our right to choose who to manage our country.

Nobody has the right to revoke our citizenzenship. Nobody has the right to stop us from protesting against the government when we feel that our leaders are mismanaging our country.

KSD: Why aren't they attacking Pak Samad (Bersih co-chairperson A Samad Said) and demand that he, too, be arrested and chased out of the country?

Changeagent: I hope Rosmah Mansor will be touched by the traders support for her husband, and reciprocate their loyalty by choosing to shop exclusively at the Pertama complex.

Why spend more buying genuine European designer items from overseas when she can buy cheaper knock-offs at the Pertama complex?
