The 154 Felda settlers nationwide who are seeking an injunction to stop the listing of Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd have been told that their application will be heard on May 16.

NONE Kuantan High Court judge Justice Mariana Yahya has refused to hear the application ex-parte (involving one party) and has asked for inter-parte (all parties’) submissions, said Mazlan Aliman (right in photo) who heads Anak, the PAS-led settlers’ NGO.

The settlers are from Palong 6, Raja Alias, Sementa, Felda Purun, Felda Bukit Kepayang, Felda Triang 3, Felda Mayam and Felda Rempum.

They have named their respective managers, as well as AmIslamic Bank and CIMB bank as defendants.

They want the managers to be compelled to give them access to documents relating to the Felda Global Venture Listing exercise, as well as an injunction to stop the listing from proceeding.

The settlers are represented by lawyer Harris Abdullah.

A second batch of settlers will meet the Securities Commission at 2.30pm tomorrow to protest the listing exercise, said Mazlan.
