Police have set up a special team to probe the allegations of Pasir Gudang MIC wanita chief K. Sundari that she was abducted and attacked for refusing to resign from her post in the party.

“This is a very serious offence and we will investigate from all angles, under Section 363 of the Penal Code for kidnapping,” Johor police chief Mohd Mokhtar Mohd Shariff told reporters in Johor Baru today.

An English language newspaper recently reported that Sundari was abducted by another woman while she was praying at a temple in Plentong at 10.30pm on May 5, and taken to an isolated site where she was slapped, kicked and threatened.

She was then left at a Muslim cemetery at Cahaya Baru in Masai.

Sundari had also claimed that her abductors, including two other women and a man, had forced her to write her identity card number and sign three pieces of A4-sized papers, besides relieving her of RM170.
