MP denies asking Khir for RM10mil to jump PKR ship

Kapar MP S Manikavasagam has denied that he had asked Dr Mohd Khir Toyo for RM10 million to abandon PKR in late 2008.
Responding to allegations made in a blog that Manikavasagam had said it was Khir who had offered him the amount to jump ship, as reported by Sinar Harian .

) admitted he met Khir at a restaurant after he had called on the Commercial Crime Investigation Department on some matter.
"He offered me money to leave the party while jokingly saying that the sand mining issue had becomes a hot news item then," said the Kapar MP.
Khir, meanwhile, in turn told the paper that it was Manikavasagam who had met him and asked for money to quit his party.
"He had asked for me and I told him I could not do so as it is not a BN practice. He will only receive the special allocation like other BN MPs if he becomes an independent," said the former Selangor menteri besar.
Khir admitted having met with Manikavasagam once before the last meeting.
