The statement said the affected areas were Taman Saga, Taman Melur, Taman Teratai, Taman Mega Jaya, Taman Seraya, Taman Muda, Taman Putra, Taman Pandan Mewah, Taman Lembah Maju, Taman Bukit Permai, Taman Mastika, Taman Mawar, Kampung Cheras Baru Bukit C and Bukit Permai Industri.
The disruption was due to broken pipes in the Kuala Lumpur, Perkuat Quarry pump house near the Pudu Ulu Baru pond.
According to Syabas, repair work was completed at 8am yesterday.
Subsequently, water supply was channeled to the Perkuat Quarry pond for distribution to the affected areas in stages, as the water levels at the main and reserve water ponds were still unstable.
