Jalur Tiga president Hasan Ali says he will reveal a proselytising video to the public for the first time at the new Islamic movement's Malacca programme on Sunday.

Hasan announced it during a "Save the people's faith" programme in Batu Caves, saying the expose would be further proof of efforts by Christians to convert Muslims to Christianity.

"Before releasing it to the public, we have to get the approval of the person depicted in the video and get the advice of lawyers.

"If both agree the video can be released, we will show a Malay priest who has been successful in converting 300 to 400 Muslims to Christianity," today's Sinar Harian quotes Hasan as saying.

'Plenty of demand to see the video'

Hasan, a former Selangor PAS commissioner, claims he has received a lot of demand for the video to be screened. He said it was an important video that would inform the Muslim society on the efforts taken to proselytise Muslims.

The Gombak Setia assemblyperson, who was sacked by PAS in January this year for undermining the party, said he wanted to put forward 10 demands if he could gather 100,000 people for the Malacca programme.

The first demand would be to make it compulsory for Muslim students to take Islamic studies in their UPSR, PMR and SPM examinations.

On April 2, Hasan released an edited 42-minute video to the media of a Muslim man purportedly having converted to Christianity and then converting back to Islam.

It is uncertain whether this will be the same video to be shown to the Malacca public on Sunday.
