Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak has extended his condolences over the death of Goh Sing Yeng, 93, who is the widow of former Penang chief minister Dr Lim Chong Eu.

Sing Yeng died at her home in Tanjung Bungah on Wednesday.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Dr Koh Tsu Koon said the prime minister had also sent floral wreaths to honour Sing Yeng, as well as Chong Eu, for their services and contributions to develop the state during their lifetime.

Koh personally described Sing Yeng as a generous and committed woman, who had given her undying support to Chong Eu.

Koh said he could not forget the words of advice given by Sing Yeng, that is ‘to be cool and you can find a good solution’ when he was the member of Parliament for Tanjung Bungah in 1982.
