Group Lotus plc today confirmed that Dany Bahar has been terminated as Lotus chief executive officer with immediate effect.

In a statement issued from Norfolk, the company said the decision was made by Group Lotus plc’s board following the results of an investigation into a complaint made against him by the company’s penultimate holding company, DRB-Hicom Bhd.

The company also announced the appointment of 51-year old British permanent resident, Aslam Farikullah, as the chief operating officer with immediate effect.

An engineering graduate from the University of Bath, England, Aslam has over 26 years working experience, most of which was in the automotive industry.
