Zamil dares Khalid to release more videos

Former Kedah PKR Youth chief Zamil Ibrahim, who was accused of working to get opposition MPs to jump ship, has challenged Selangor PAS deputy commissioner II Khalid Abdul Samad to release more videos on opposition MPs showing interest in crossing over.
Abdul Khalid said a five-minute video clip purportedly showing him talking to several opposition MPs at a restaurant shown to the media yesterday was counter-productive to the opposition as it portrayed how fragile their loyalty was to the party.
“Let me remind him (Khalid) that my friends are keeping many embarrassing videos of Pakatan Rakyat MPs and assemblypersons.
“We may release them at any time and let the people assess how detestable the behaviour of opposition leaders, especially that of the PKR,” Zamil (

Khalid told reporters at Parliament lobby yesterday that the video clip could be used as an evidence in an investigation that Zamil purportedly was working as an agent to get opposition MPs to jump ship.
However, PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang rebuked Khalid by saying that the video clip showed nothing more than a meal.
Zamil, who is also Kedah Kita chairperson, said if at all the man in the video was him, he would be glad as he had contributed to the country by getting MPs to leave a party which was not fit to rule the country.
“However, it is strange that a discussion on intended crossover was conducted at a restaurant and attended by drivers,” he said, adding that Umno and the BN had rejected opposition MPs, who stoop so low, and a bribe of RM2 million being bandied about was rather cheap.
He claimed that over 30 PKR elected representatives came to see him to voice their displeasure over the attitude of PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim, his wife, Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, and Azmin Ali and his wife, Shamsidar Taharin.
“They curse Anwar behind his back, but shower him with praises when they meet him,” he added.
Zamil claimed that Khalid met him at a Chinese restaurant in Kajang two years ago after he (Khalid) was suspended by PAS, but refused to divulge details of the meeting.
