Shafie: PKR can dream over taking 20 Swak seats
The Parti Keadilan Rakyat's (PKR) aspiration to win 20 out of the 31 parliamentary seats in the state is at best a nice dream said Rural and Regional Development Minister Mohd Shafie Apdal.
The Parti Keadilan Rakyat's (PKR) aspiration to win 20 out of the 31 parliamentary seats in the state is at best a nice dream said Rural and Regional Development Minister Mohd Shafie Apdal.
There was nothing wrong for PKR to dream on but it would only remain a dream, he said when asked to comment on PKR's plans to win 20 seats in the state so as to march victoriously to Putrajaya after the 13th general election.
Yesterday PKR deputy president Azmin Ali when launching the party's election machinery in the state said it would field its candidates to challenge the Barisan Nasional (BN).
"In the last state election, PKR also said it wanted to take over the state government and fielded many candidates but only managed to win two seats," he said.
"The pulse on the ground is still very much in favour of the BN and our Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak's leadership and the rural folks in particular are still very appreciative of the government's efforts in helping to give them a better life."
