Air quality was reported to be good when the Air Pollutant Index (API) issued by the Department of Environment (DoE) at about 7am showed no unhealthy reading reported in any area.

Port Klang, Shah Alam, Petaling Jaya, Kuala Selangor, Cheras and Batu Muda, which recorded unhealthy IPU at 7am yesterday, all reported moderate readings this morning.
According to the DoE website, www.doe.gov.my, no area in Malaysia recorded very unhealthy or dangerous readings with 88 percent of the areas throughout the country recording moderate API while 12 percent recorded bad API.
Air quality is assumed to be good when the API reading is between zero and 50, moderate for an API reading of 51 to 100, very unhealthy (201 to 300) and hazardous for a reading of more than 301.
