Veteran actor Abdul Azez Satta is is reported to be stable after seeking heart treatment at the Ampang Hospital since last Saturday.

The 87-year-old, who is fondly known as Aziz Sattar, has now been admitted to the hospital’s Coronary Care Unit (CCU) and unable to receive visitors except for immediate family members.

According to Malaysian Artistes Association (Seniman) president Rozaidi Jamil, or Zed Zaidi, who was at the hospital to present contributions to Aziz’s family, the actor’s condition was verified by a family member.

Aziz was admitted into the hospital after complaining of chest pains and body discomfort last Saturday.

Aziz is known for his comedic roles in various films with film legend P Ramlee such as Bujang Lapok, Ali Baba Bujang Lapok and Nasib Labu Labi.

Meanwhile, actor and comedian Osman Kering, whose real name is Osman Kassim, is reported to be in critical condition in Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia’s (HUKM) Intensive Care Unit (ICU) following lung and heart complications and blocked vessels.

His wife Che Norhayati Che Omar, 48, said he was admitted since June 11 and doctors confirmed that he suffered from lung and liver infection.

Social website Twitter and blogs had carried news of the 58-year-old artiste’s death, but the news was strongly denied by family members.

Among films he has starred in include Kantoi, Senario The Movie I, Tentang Bulan and Man Laksa .
