About 18,000 consumers in Machang, Pasir Puteh and part of Kok Lanas in Kok Lanas will experience a two-day scheduled low pressure water disruptions from today.

Air Kelantan Sdn Bhd (AKSB) customer affairs  executive Hazwan Hassan said the disruption was due to scheduled pump maintenance work from 8am to 6pm at the Machang, Merbau Chondong Water Treatment Plant intake.

The disruption in Machang involving 12,000 users would be in Machang town, Universiti Teknologi Mara, Labok, Merbau Chondong, Padang Selising, Bukit Tiu, Banggol Petai, Kweng Hitam, Pangkal Meleret, Wakaf Bata, Paloh Rawa and Kemuning, he told Bernama.

The villages involved in Pasir Puteh were Bukit Bidang, Taman Sentosa, Alor Hijau, Selising, Jeram, Dalam Rhu, Semerak, Tok Bali, Tualang Tinggi, Tasik Pauh, Kedai Menanti, Bukit Jawa, Bukit Tanah, Kampung Jerus, Bukit Abal, Sri Aman, Taman Kobena, Kampung Lepah, Kampung Berangan and Banggol Telipot affecting 5,000 consumers.

The affected areas in Kok Lanas were Kok Lanas town, Kampung Pak Badol, Melor and surrounding areas involving 1,000 consumers.
