Navy secrets: What punishment for treason?
FREE VOXPOP 'Brushing them aside amounts to abetting in an act of treason. Najib must immediately see to it that a probe is conducted by an independent party.'
MP wants Terasasi probed for treason
Hibiscus: Defence Minister Zahid Hamidi says there is no proof of any of the alleged sale of the navy document ever took place.
First of all, does he agree that there was a leak of a secret document and that it affected the security of the country? If he agrees, it is immaterial whether the document was sold or left by the roadside in Hong Kong.
The most important thing is that there was a leak of a secret defence document to a foreign company.
So, if he is a responsible defence minister, he must go all out to ensure a thorough and honest investigation to find out how the document was leaked, who did it and for what reason.
If he fails to launch a full investigation, it is logical to suspect that he is in collusion with those who are guilty of the leakage of the secret document, which makes him an accessory to the crime, which if done on purpose is considered treason.
Odin: Hibiscus, Zahid won't do anything except to deny and lie. They cover up for one another. Worse comes to worst, they will simply fly to another country on self-imposed exile.
Money won't be a problem for them. They have stolen hundreds of millions and billions of Malaysian taxpayers' money, which they have stashed away outside Malaysia. That's why they cock a snook at the opposition and ordinary Malaysians.
PAS MP Dzulkefly Ahmad is, of course, correct. The leak, and subsequently the sale of such information, are of great national importance.
Brushing them aside amounts to abetting in an act of treason. Najib must immediately see to it that a probe is conducted by an independent, trustworthy party.
If he fails to do so, it will confirm that he is party to the treasonous act, if not the key figure in the commissioning of same.
Mairasmind: We want our chief of the Malaysian Armed Forces to immediately report to the Agong - who is commander in chief - on this alleged sale and leakage of secret naval documents to the French and take swift action.
Otherwise, his loyalty to king and country will be in question. We must never ever compromise the safety and security of our soldiers.
Baiyuensheng: Where is Perkasa? Indeed, Ibrahim Ali's famous line - for religion, race and the rulers - are all lies.
He could be an Indonesian mole or spy... he couldn't care less if the country secrets are being sold or not.
His only mission is to create chaos and to make Malaysia a province of Indonesia.
Anonymous_3ec6: If given a chance, the Umnoputras will sell each state in Malaysia to the highest bidder.
Murad made SD against Anwar 'under duress'
ABU Member: We now realise that all those who make wild allegations against Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim are themselves corrupt.
I say corrupt because they did not follow up with solid proof to prove the allegations. It just shows that corrupt Umno uses corrupt people to corrupt the regime.
Headhunter: Compared to BN leaders, Anwar is an angel. I say, let the dirt come out. That's the game that BN like to play. The problem is that they are more tainted then their opponents.
The funny thing is that they are actually tarring themselves every time they try to target Anwar.
Anwar doesn't have to do anything it seems. Just wait for PM Najib Razak to shoot himself in the foot.
Don't Play-Play: PKR strategic director Rafizi Ramli should not threaten former Bank Negara assistant governor Abdul Murad Khalid to come forward to apologise to Anwar if he truly believes in transparency.
This only proves that Rafizi is not a champion of the rakyat but he is only championing Anwar. He should bring everything he knows out in the open and let the rakyat be the judge.
But Rafizi is not going to reveal everything he knows about Murad's dealings when he was Bank Negara assistant governor because if he does, besides BN politicians, it will also implicate Anwar.
Odin: These are very serious declarations from Rafizi. Abdul Murad Khalid must come out to clear his name.
If he does not, then his silence will be construed as confirmation of Rafizi's assertions being not mere allegations but statements of facts.
Abdul Murad, the people are waiting.
