The government has announced a RM0.20 reduction in the price-per-litre for RON97 grade petrol, the second price reduction in a month.

According to Second Finance Minister Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah, RON97 will cost RM2.60 per litre from midnight tonight.

Since RON97 was subjected to a managed float in September 2009, its price had been tweaked numerous times.

The price hit an all time high of RM2.90 per litre in May last year and again in April this year.
