Noh claims irregularities in two Sekinchan projects
Agriculture and Agro-Based Industries Minister Noh Omar today claimed there were irregularities in two housing projects in Sekinchan.
Agriculture and Agro-Based Industries Minister Noh Omar today claimed there were irregularities in two housing projects in Sekinchan.
He said the construction of Kondominium Sekinchan Perdana was in violation of the Town and Country Planning Department policy of having only 60 units on a 0.4 hectare site.
“In fact, the policy states that the building must not exceed 12 storeys,” he told reporters after launching two Agrobank products, Paddy-i and Paddy Cash-I in Tanjong Karang today.
Noh claimed that the construction of 94 condominium units of 18 floors was against the policy.
He also questioned the sale of 24 units of Pangsapuri Damai which should have been allocated to Sabak Bernam District Council but sold to a private company.
“I want Sekinchan state assemblyperson Ng Suee Lim to clarify this since it is within his constituency,” said Noh, who is also Selangor Barisan Nasional deputy chairperson.
He said the matter should be brought before Selangor Competency, Accountability and Transparency Committee (Selcat) if the state government is serious about transparency.
