Former Selangor PAS leader Hasan Ali is indulging in hate speeches, an act that he was once opposed to, said Batu Caves assemblyperson Amiruddin Shaari.

Commenting on Hasan’s recent roadshow on the Jalur Tiga (Jati) movement platform, Amiruddin said the former was stooping to “dirty tactics” to defame PKR leaders Anwar Ibrahim and Azmin Ali.

NONE “I remember when he was state PAS commissioner and an exco in charge of Islamic affairs, he often accused Umno of resorting to defamation, but now he practises it,” said Amiruddin, in a press release today.

Hasan, who is also the Gombak Setia assemblyperson, broke ranks with Pakatan Rakyat and was expelled for PAS after criticising its leaders publicly.

He then went on to form Jati, whose objectives are to “defend Islam, uphold the Malays and champion constitutional monarchy”.

Amiruddin said the content of Hasan’s speeches at the recent roadshows do not reflect Jati’s stated purpose because the content mostly involves Pakatan-bashing.

“How would speeches defaming Anwar and Azmin serve Jati’s purpose?... Hasan speaks of consolidating the Muslim unity and faith... but issues of faith are not raised,” said Amiruddin.

He warned Hasan that his “inflammatory speeches” will most likely resulted in him being sued by those aggrieved by his statements.
