Forget the defectors, worry about votes instead
VOXPOP 'What's important is the number of voters that swing to Pakatan. If that number is sizeable, the BN government will kiss the ground.'
Three more BN reps to jump, claims Lajim
Quigonbond:
I'd suggest PKR don't count the chickens before they hatch. Let the defections happen. The public will decide for themselves whether it's a good thing.
Remember, if this can happen to BN, it can also happen to Pakatan Rakyat too. The real effect of these ‘froggings' is negligible since they are unlikely to cause a switch in the governing party either at state or federal level.
And there's no value come GE13 because as long as BN has phantom voters and illegitimate voters, the candidates they field might still just win. The only value is that it demoralises BN.
1Mockery: Never mind about the number of lawmakers who are crossing over. What's important is the number of voters that will swing to Pakatan. If that number is sizeable, the BN government will kiss the ground.
Ourvotesdecide!: Whoever jumps from BN to Pakatan must be accepted with open arms and be forgiven for supporting BN before as long as they contribute to the downfall of Umno and the BN.
We should be inclusive and team up together to fight and defeat our common and No 1 public enemy, Umno-BN.
We need the numbers to win. We shouldn't be negative but positive minded and daring to take risks in our mission to dump Umno-BN and start a new day for all Malaysians.
Tailek: Beaufort MP Lajim Ukin, don't give away the game so early. Otherwise, BN will take all the BN Sabah MPs on a compulsory nine-month overseas study tour so that they cannot defect.
Gunner: Sabah Umno is not worried at all despite news of jumping frogs make headlines of local daily every day. It has two secret weapons.
1) Hundreds of thousands of 'Projek IC' recipients will be mobilised to vote for BN.
2) Tons and tons of money are ready to be transported in from foreign countries and would be dumped into everyone's pockets and hopefully they would feel indebted enough to vote for BN.
Retired Judge: BN should not worry about their leaders jumping. Umno has Ibrahim Ali and Hasan Ali.
These two guys will cause the Chinese, Indians and Christians to swing to the opposition and make sure Umno, MCA, MIC and Gerakan will be buried in this tsunami.
2ctsworth: Whoever from BN wants to 'jump', please don't be in a hurry. There might be a hefty windfall coming your way. Election is near and Santa is surely in giving mode. Collect then, and make the giant leap.
Anonymous_3ee4: Make sure all those who jump ship are not put up as candidates in GE13. BN will surely go shopping like they did in Perak.
Orang Jauh: Dear Sabahans, when and if the lure of money gets too tempting, think of your grandchildren crossing over to Indonesia (Kalimantan) in pitch darkness of the night, evading the Indonesian security forces, as they have no permit to enter Indonesia to work as maids and masons.
Hasan: I've silenced the Christian missionaries
Lamborghini: In Malaysia, Muslims are not facing the "threat of Christianisation". Jalur Tiga (Jati) president Hasan Ali is just putting up a straw man and hitting it.
On the contrary, the real challenge that non-Muslims are facing is Islamisation, where almost daily and everywhere, people of other faiths are being converted through all kinds of ways.
Christians are only a small minority in Malaysia and never a threat, but are law-abiding citizens of this nation.
And Hasan Ali, please don't try to make yourself a great hero because you are making a fool of yourself through your nonsensical claims.
Anonymous #55961902: Hasan is only interested in publicity. He claimed he had silenced the Christian group and fought against them singlehandedly.
Hasan will be seen as a hero just because the Christian groups are silent. How stupid this fool can be, claiming silence equates to admitting fault.
He is just ‘siok sendiri' (stroking his own ego). The Christian groups should just ignore this PAS discard.
Chini Menangis: I supported this guy, I even sent my son and daughter to his summer camp in Sungai Lui. When he was the candidate for the Gombak constituency, my friends and I teamed up to at least gave him a better chance to be elected.
He became too egoistic after that. My friends, I and the majority of Gombak voters are totally pissed off, and if ever he stand for Gombak in the GE13 he will lose his deposit.
Don't talk about your proselytisation thing, your name won't carry any more weight and don't claim anything about being a goody-two shoes. People are simply fed up.
Darshan Dhillon: Thank you Hasan, you have done a great service. What would we have done without your timely intervention. You have saved Malaysia.
Odin: After he and the police raided the Damansara Utama Methodist Church dinner, he claimed that he had reports of tens of thousands of Muslims having been converted to Christianity, of Christian missionaries giving out solar-powered talking Bibles to Muslims, etc, going into mosques wearing the kopiah and a robe to convert Muslims, but until now, he has produced not one - not even one! - proof, nor has any of those he claimed to be missionaries has been arrested and charged.
If people like Catholic bishop Reverend Paul Tan have not bothered to say anything, we all know it is because they would not want to waste their time.
Anonymous #58458950: Why the obsession over what people believe? Let Malaysians believe what they want to believe. Religion is something personal and if one can be a better person in another religion, so be it.
If Muslims have doubts, wouldn't it be better for them to leave rather than creating further havoc? Consider it good riddance. Surely Islam is better off without them.
