The Malaysian Human Rights Commission (Suhakam) has called for nominations for the Human Rights Awards 2012 which will

be held on Dec 10, this year.

Nominations will close on Oct 10.

In a statement here today, Suhakam said the nominees would compete in three categories, namely individual community award, organisation community award and media award.

"To be eligible for nomination, entrants must have an outstanding contribution to the promotion and protection of human rights in Malaysia, and been active for the past two or three years.
