Merdeka mooning: Two wrongs do not make a right
YOURSAY ‘Let us be aware that there are always 'troublemakers' who pretend to join in for the cause but are there to cause trouble.'
Najib, wife become butt of joke
Conmen: Perhaps it's a tit-for-tat by the young and boisterous. After all, even the old and disciplined (military men) did it to Bersih co-chairperson S Ambiga.
This solitary fellow is merely a kid out for some fun and to capture public attention. Is that a crime? What could be worse? You prefer him to sodomise a 12-year-old girl instead?
If our country's moral decadence is plumbing the depths of depravity, can we blame one lone ranger for his insolence?
Baiyuensheng: Two wrongs cannot make it right. There are some commentators here trying to pull us down to the levels of Umno, BN, Perkasa or the ‘buttmen' and justified it with the ‘if they can do it, so can we' argument.
Please- lah , we are far better than that.
Bootsie: That is the problem, when you start something like that, others tend to follow. Anyway, this is not the right thing to do on the eve of an auspicious day. It is to be condemned and not tolerated by decent, upright Malaysians.
The butt act on Ambiga was also the work of despicable characters who are a disgrace to their families.
Anonymous #03078561: Let us be aware that there are always 'troublemakers' who pretend to join in for the cause but are there to cause trouble. Let us just ignore these people and give them the benefit of the doubt.
They do not even have the guts to wear yellow Bersih T-shirts. This could be a set-up by imposters.
Mushiro: Is this what the police meant when they said they will investigate later? It looks like a planted incident where BN bloggers were ready with their video cameras.
Try attending one of these type of rallies and see whether it is easy to capture unique and absurd incidents.
Bersih's Maria Chin Abdullah has rightfully condemned this incident. I hope Umno is not trying to use this to get sympathy votes.
Lets be fair: Such immaturity, but at what price and purpose? They must have learnt it from their parents.
CiViC: Wow... Hundreds of police without name tags during Bersih 3.0 and none of them were identified, not even the police could determine who they are, and here GR (they name themselves Gossip and they expect people to believe them, can you believe it?) can identify the culprit so efficiently, and can be so damn sure the culprit was paid by Pakatan Rakyat. Seriously, are we that stupid?
Lim Chong Leong: GR ‘understands' that Pakatan is paying this youth? How did they so summarily come to that understanding?
If it rained on their Merdeka hijack celebration, it will be Pakatan's fault too. These BN or Umno scum are so desperate and so out of ideas. They just cannot understand that it is they who are making people fed up.
And this youngster is just one of the many who cannot take it anymore and wanted to show his sentiment. While I do not agree with his indecency, I do admire his courage. As for BN and Umno, they should just take heed that people are disgruntled.
Vijay47: Let us be clear about one thing, much as we can understand and sympathise with that person's sentiments - such crude behaviour is totally uncalled for, whether by Pakatan supporters or Umno moles.
Those who indulge in such acts are merely lowering themselves to the same level as the butt dancers who were so full of themselves.
If the person were indeed a Pakatan member, then the act, isolated as it might be, is all the worse because it gives Umno and the mainstream media that little opening they were waiting for to paint the entire gathering in poor light and go to town with it.
Having said that, I would plead with the police not to charge him as he is only in his 20s. I am sure this young man has a bright future and with a bit of effort he might end up being a bowler. Or an electrician.
NX: The only people who are qualified to comment if this butt exposure is distasteful are the retired army personnel who did the butt dance recently. They are the experts on the matter.
Cannon: It was crude and in poor taste, and in the same class as butt-dancing. We abhor such behaviour.
Gen. Half Track: There is no place for such vulgarities and whoever the person(s) is/are, he should be arrested and charged in court. Pakatan does not support such behaviour.
Anonymous #92005027: This guy should be whipped 15 times and jailed for 40 years add up to our 55th Merdeka celebration.
I hope the police can really act fast to avoid any such incident in the future. Don't worry if he has a bright future or not. Discipline him.
Ksn: This sort of rubbish is uncalled for, silly and foolish. The intention, I hope, was not to tarnish the ‘Janji Demokrasi' atmosphere which went well.
The guy involved must have thought that he was doing something smart or imitating other idiots who did similar things recently.
Baiyuensheng: I have no sympathy for this dude who apparently did not receive proper adat (lessons) from his parents.
Ferdtan: This is the most stupid act - whether he is a supporter of BN or Pakatan. He should be caught and taken to task for such childish behaviour.
Otherwise he may grow up to be a person more despicable later in his life, if he is not shamed now. He had let down many, not only to the good people who were there peacefully but his family.
Running_man: I support Pakatan but I abhor this kind of vulgar behaviour. Kurang ajar betul (how insolent).
Abasir: Despicable governance begets despicable behaviour. But some judge may say that the misguided, young fellow from an uncultured home has a "bright future" and severely bind him over.
Ambrose Marcel: You may not like BN or Najib and his wife, but this is not the right thing to do. What a low-down thing for anyone to do.
Ramachandran Muniandy: Whether you all hate the PM and his wife, the vulgar sign shown by these idiots was uncalled for. These sort of characters are bad due to bad upbringing.
Truth Unfold: The act was obviously planned to tarnish the organisers' name and further accusation that Pakatan paid for the act is also dirty politics.
If the police were to investigate this than they should be investigating all the other cases such as urinating on Lim Kit Siang's photo, butt dance at Ambiga's house and the funeral ceremony at Lim Guan Eng's house.
It's surprising that GR was present there and ready with the cameras and video, shooting as though it was pre-empted.
Retired Judge: This must be one of the men who showed his butt in front of Ambiga's house. Padan muka Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, Rosmah Mansor and the Election Commission boss. You get what your men preach.
Why the double standards now? After all, no action was taken against the butt men.
Artchan: I will do it for free.
