The first haj flight carrying Malaysian pilgrims to Jeddah will depart on Sept 17 and continue until Oct 19.

The haj return flight from Jeddah will start on Oct 31 and continue until Nov 28, said a spokesperson from Lembaga Tabung Haji when contacted.

Wukuf (grand assembly on the Arafah plain) is expected to fall on Oct 25 while Muslims in Malaysia are scheduled to celebrate Aidiladha on Oct 26.

Saudi Arabia has maintained its quota of 28,000 pilgrims for Malaysia for this year’s pilgrimage.

To date, 936,000 Malaysians, including 4,000 who over 75 years of age, have registered to perform the haj.
