BN Tenom chief Rubin Balang said the coalition government would retain all its interior parliamentary seats in the next general election.

"This is based on the people's support and confidence, from Tambunan to Pensiangan and here, in the BN state and federal governments," he told reporters after the opening of the Tenom and Pensiangan Umno delegates meeting by Sabah Chief Minister Musa Aman at Dewan Datuk Seri Panglima Antanom in Tenom today.

On the various issues raised by the opposition to gain political mileage, including a claim that the government had introduced the communal system (cluster land ownership), Balang dismissed them as untrue.

On the other hand, he said, the government wanted the people to own land which they could develop.
