Have anyone wondered why the attacks on the opposition had always been more severe that those on the BN component parties and that the latter always lag the former?

My: Quiz of the day:

1) Why was the Gerakan office attacked using eggs and coffee?

Answer: Because they are cheap and most important is that they are easy to clean.

2) Why was Gerakan's office was attacked and not Umno's?

Answer: Because Gerakan is Umno's stooge.

Democrat: Tarnish the profession of politics? I thought it has already been tarnished by BN a long time back.

Not Confused: The problem is that BN and its rag-tag bunch of hangers-on, like Gerakan, have ruled for 55 years and taken absolutely zero time to promote, develop and instill a mature sense of democracy among the rakyat.

They have been constantly fed on a diet of handouts, both financial and material, at election time and been led to believe that only one coalition is entitled to rule Malaysia.

Unfortunately, they can therefore not see or understand what true democracy involves nor how to react during the electoral process.

BN has been totally derelict in this respect and you are now faced with fanatical zealots who have been brainwashed into believing that BN is the saviour of the country.

Wrong! We are all now paying the price for your arrogance and electoral fraud over the five decades. Time for change is here, and change there will be.

Opah: I like the fact that whenever someone says "pray for clean and fair elections" and that the winning candidates "will follow the rule of law and uphold the constitution", the Umno cybertroopers automatically respond - that's a Pakatan supporter.

Even the paid Umno cybertroopers acknowledge these are the attributes of Pakatan, not Umno.

Blind Freddo: The Christians have this rather clever saying, "God helps those who help themselves".

That pretty well means that Malaysians can't expect too much help from the 'big man'. The only time they help themselves is when they are helping themselves to someone else's money.

Telestai!: Blind Freddo, there is nothing clever about that statement. Church leaders are merely asking Christians to be wise and pray that the next government voted in will follow the rule of law.

I believe the vast majority of Christians are aware of this but that doesn't stop us from seeking divine wisdom.

Christians are hopeful that change will come to Malaysia in the form of better and more responsible governance and not necessarily through a change in government.

God helps those who help themselves is a universal belief of those who believe in God, not just the Christians.

Lai Tak Ming: The Christians take it upon themselves to seek divine intervention and guidance for the sake of the nation. This is a good thing, isn't it?

Ultimately, we believe in the Almighty God who is moving his people to action. So rest assured, the sceptics like Blind Freddo, we do more than pray.

Many in the forefront of civil society seeking change are moved by the desire to serve God and nation and have taken up the mantle to do their bit to help change our community.

That said, I urge all Malaysians of all religious persuasions to rise up and be counted to do their part for the sake of our country's future. We deserve better.

Timothy: It is a normal for Christians around the world to pray for their nations either in small or big groups. Even other religion does that. No big fuss about that.

It is normal for Christians to bless the nation, prays for wisdom on what to do, how to do and what to say. God's way may not be our way and our ways may not be God's way.

APA INI?: Peace comes with justice. I'm glad the Christians in Malaysia recognise that and publicly pray that injustices are addressed in Sabah and Sarawak.

PM Najib Razak has called for a royal commission of inquiry in Sabah. We pray that he fulfills his promises. But so far, it's ‘Janji Tak Ditepati'.
