VOXPOP 'Has Anuar Shaari ever heard of Saloman Smith, Satchi and Satchi, Apco and the many other Jewish companies employed by Mahathir and Najib?'

Anwar's ex-aide: Jews jealous of our submarines

vox populi small thumbnail Vijay47: One expects that when Umno supporters set about attacking the opposition and others who have had enough of 55 years of abuse, they would at least do it with originality if not intelligence.

Leading the pack is a bitter man, resentful that history will never count him as a statesman. Quite clearly, the flavour of the month now seems to be the Jews.

Suddenly, every monkey in town appears to have discovered that Malaysia's ills are due to conspiracies by Israel and not sustained theft, corruption, injustice, and discriminatory policies by Umno.

Obviously, there must be a central body that decides how the opposition must be blamed and the themes that need to be adopted. This body must have found that assailing non-Malays and Christians no longer cuts the ice, so something more spectacular, more international, must be relied on.

And Jews, Israelis, and Zionists are the most convenient fall guys. Umno's champions see ghosts behind every tree but not the elephant in the room.

NMNT: If anyone who can claim the prized trophy for quote of the year, this is it - "Jews were using Suaram to try to deny Malaysia the French-made submarines".

Mushiro: Has Anuar Shaari ever heard of Saloman Smith, Satchi and Satchi, Apco and the many other Jewish companies employed by ex-PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad and current PM Najib Razak?

Is he aware that former IGP Musa Hassan's son allegedly awarded a police telecommunication project amounting to hundreds of millions to a Jewish company.

Give us more evidence that currency speculator George Soros is meddling in Malaysia's internal affairs. RM500,000 is not even enough for Suaram to run their office.

Abasir: Whenever it suits Umno, they publicly and loudly blame the Jews, blame the Americans, blame Western culture, accuse all American mothers of being promiscuous and then quietly invite them over as state guests for extravagant nonsense like the Multimedia Super Corridor's International Advisory Panel, appoint them as financial and economic advisers, public relations and marketing agents and hold opulent gatherings in New York.

And to prove their despicable hypocrisy, they will also arrange for a fully-paid audience with the US president. These fellows are shameless, immoral leaders who will do anything to cling on to power.

JooGuan: If the government is clean, why so worried about the Scorpene submarine probe? It does not matter whether someone is jealous of you. Didn't the defence minister claim the government was transparent? So what's the fuss?

Vgeorgemy: Anuar Shaari, if you think that the rakyat is stupid as you, you are wrong. No one in Malaysia has any objection to buy any types of submarines, including Scorpene submarines. Our issue is the corruption and killing related to the purchase.

Please don't mix national security with the avoidable corruption. It is not the opposition alone which has issues in defence dealings, but the Johor sultan too on recent acquisition of vehicles .

Swipenter: Now the Jewish bogey is the flavour of the day. No longer the Chinese communists.

Guan Eng: Pakatan must dispel 3 myths to win GE

Buruk Buruk: Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, continue to do what you can for the best of the country. Don't get distracted by the racial accusations from Najib and his cohorts in Umno.

Jiminy Qrikert : Guan Eng, Malaysia is the absolute poorer country compared to Indonesia not the other way around.

It is a myth that Malaysia is richer than Indonesia. What is the wealth of a country? Measured by GDP and GDP per capita?

Our GDP is one-third that of Indonesia, hence our GDP per capita is US$10,467 to Indonesia's US$3,797 (2011, Global Finance).

But let's take a closer look at real GDP growth (Indonesia/Malaysia) 2009 (4.6%/-1.6%); 2010 (6.2%/7.2%); 2011 (6.5%/5.1%); 2012 (6.1%/4.4%).

Malaysia's real GDP growth is bouncing like a yoyo. Is this due to bad planning? Maybe, our leaders are not paying enough attention where it is really needed.

How about public debt (Indonesia/Malaysia)? 2009 (28.6%/55.4%); 2010 (27.6%/52.9%); 2011 (25%/52.6%); 2012 (23.2%/53.1%).

BN is splurging our hard-earned money like a burst hydrant.

Closer to the rakyat's hearts - Inequality of wealth distribution index: Indonesia - 36.8, Msia - 46.2. (0 = absolute equality, 100 = absolute inequality).

Najib-Umno-BN are rich, not Malaysia. Certainly not the rakyat.

FellowMalaysian: Instead of constantly playing up the racial card and religious issues in their all too familiar attempts to create fear and making them yield into submission, Pakatan will never resort to such crude and disreputable methods of winning votes.

And in order to make our country more attractive to foreign investors as well as to improve our social and economic standings, we need to focus on delivery and performance, i.e. human capital rather than being immobilised by the age-old fear factor.

Ipoh2: Regime change is a must and it will certainly take place at GE13. Malaysians will throw out the corrupt Umno-BN regime.

Make no mistake. The current leader and his regime have not the slightest idea on how to run the nation. They only excel in  plundering the nation's wealth and lining their pockets.
