A robber went berserk by breaking the door and wall of a convenience store he robbed as he was unhappy with the loot of RM40.

In the incident at 2am yesterday, the suspect, 34, had earlier pretended to be buying a drink at the shop in Jalan Gajah, Triang.

According to Pahang CID secretariat officer ASP Noor Asyikin Shamsuri, the suspect had taken a bottled drink and told the cashier at the counter that he had no money and left without paying.

“The suspect then re-entered the shop with a pair of scissors and robbed the 20-year-old female cashier, 20, of RM40,” she told reporters in Kuantan today.

She said, dissatisfied with the amount of money given by the cashier, the suspect broke the main door and wall of the shop.

“The cashier informed the shop owner about the incident. Police arrested the suspect nearby 30 minutes later,” she added.
