Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) officers and staff at Grade 52 and below will receive a monthly enforcement incentive (BIP) of RM200 beginning next month.

Federal Territories and Urban Wellbeing Minister Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin said the BIP was approved by the Public Services Department on Aug 1 this year.

“The BIP is for officers and staff tasked with special duties, including taking care of the mayor’s assets,” he told a media conference after attending the 43rd DBKL enforcement day parade in Kuala Lumpur today.

Raja Nong Chik said a total of 1,584 DBKL officers and staff would receive the BIP and hoped that the payment would be a boost for them to serve better.
