Penang Deputy Chief Minister I Mansor Othman has been asked to show his "manliness" by owning up to the act of labelling his boss Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng as arrogant.

State BN chief Teng Chang Yeow took a dig at Mansor today, telling him not to "flip-flop" in his statement and to be courageous enough to admit what he said about Lim.

NONE Teng initially said the matter was a PKR internal problem and that he preferred not to be involved in it.

However, after being asked about it, Teng said, "Mansor told the whole world about it and now he wants to say he did not? But the evidence shows he did.

"He is the DCM, not the political secretary of the CM," Teng, who is Gerakan secretary-general, added at a press conference yesterday.

A former state executive councillor, Teng was referring to an audio recording of Mansor's voice that was broadcast over TV3's Monday night prime time news.

Mansor, who is Penang PKR chief, has not denied calling Lim ‘tokong', but said the "words such as cocky, arrogant and tokong were blown out of proportion".

PKR is conducting an internal probe and has zoomed in on four people for releasing an audio recording of a Penang PKR election committee meeting, but it is not certain when the investigation will be completed.

BN's election manifesto

Meanwhile, Teng said a special meeting would be called to discuss the BN's Penang election manifesto.

He said the coalition has already drafted the Penang Policy Framework for 2012-2020.

"With this, we are going to discuss with all the coordinators to translate the framework into our manifesto," he said.

"The manifesto will cover all aspects, such as the economy, social development, housing demand, public transport and rural area development.

NONE "It shows that if there is a will, there is way," Teng said, adding that the manifesto would be finalised within a month.

At the same press conference, state Umno deputy chief Musa Sheikh Fadzir called on Lim to be transparent about House speaker Abdul Halim Hussein's alleged involvement in a RM200 million theme park project in Teluk Bahang.

Musa, who is Bukit Mertajam Umo chief, asked if Abdul Halim had a "personal interest" in the project, called Escape Theme Park.

"I received complaints that he is involved. I have the evidence and will reveal it, but I want Lim to answer this first," Musa said.
