Gagasan Anti-Penyelewengan Selangor’s (Gaps) call followed allegations published in the media this morning alleging that human rights NGO Suaram had
bribed
government officials using funds channeled from neighbouring countries.
“Therefore Gaps calls for an RCI to be formed to thoroughly investigate the inflow of foreign funds with ill intentions, those that want to destroy the nation’s democratic rule and bring pandemonium to its peace, harmony and economic prosperity,” said Gaps president Hamidzun Khairuddin ( left ) today.
Describing Jaringan Melayu Malaysia’s (JMM) allegations this morning as shocking, Gaps also urged that the RCI’s findings should be tabled in Parliament as a white paper on “planned efforts on foreign intervention to topple our government that is elected by the people”.
“Those involved as agents and foreign collaborators should be put in court to face legal action. There shall be no compromise to those who betray the independent country of Malaysia,” he said.
Both Hamidzun and JMM president Azwanddin Hamzah are former PKR Youth leaders.
