From French subs to French subpoenas
YOURSAY 'Ismail Sabri's Umno-given KPI (key performance indicator) is ‘harassment of Suaram until it becomes dysfunctional'.'
Tony Pua files motion to cut Ismail Sabri's salary
Ipohcrite: As a taxpayer, I wholeheartedly support the motion by Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua.
Minister for Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism Ismail Sabri Yaakob can go chasing shadows in his own time but since he's paid out of taxpayers' money, he jolly well do the job he's paid to do.
We should launch a taxpayers' protest or something, to keep ministers like Ismail Sabri in check and in line, or have him booted out.
Wasting our hard-earned taxpayers' money by harassing and persecuting Suaram is akin to committing a crime at the workplace.
FellowMalaysian: Ismail Sabri's hypocritical defiance has demonstrated once again that BN practices two sets of laws.
They abuse the powers and privileges accorded to them as ministers and use them to terrorise the opposition and dissenting NGOs such as Suaram. They could never have survived with such foul tactics if they are playing on level ground.
With GE13 coming right up soon, it's time for voters to take stock of the situation and put an end to absolute power.
Don't Play-Play: Tony Pua, why are you so quiet on Selangor's Talam issue?
Yahoo: Pua is not quiet on the Talam issue, he has done his duty . He has shown all the documents as proofs. Now it's up to the authorities to investigate whether there is fraudulent or not.
Abasir: Ismail Sabri's Umno-given KPI (key performance indicator) is "harassment of Suaram until it becomes dysfunctional".
That is the reason that all his time and the energies of CCM (Companies Commission of Malaysia) are devoted to this mission.
And that is the reason CCM's day job of regulating companies and going after the miscreants is ignored. On top of that, the miscreants are all Umno-connected parasites.
Suaram: We're still party to Scorpene inquiry in France
Gerard Lourdesamy: PM Najib Razak is a dead duck because the French government is not going to let defence giant DCNS off the hook just because the Malaysian government was complicit in bribery and corruption.
So what if Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim went to France with Batu MP Tian Chua? So what if Suaram is Anwar's tool? Malaysians want to get to the truth regarding the Scorpene deal.
Najib should have formed an RCI (royal commission of inquiry) to investigate the allegations or present a White Paper in Parliament to explain the whole deal. As taxpayers, we all want answers and not the defence minister's ‘white wash' or the establishment's mass hysteria against Suaram.
Since Najib wants to hide the truth, Suaram has an obligation to assist the inquiry in France to get to the truth.
Frankly, we are all sick and disgusted with the billions being siphoned off in commissions and kickbacks to cronies of Umno that are later recycled in off-shore accounts and then paid to nominees of the Umno leadership.
If this was China, most of these crooks would have been summarily executed by firing squad.
Abuminable: From French subs to French subpoenas. Poetic justice for a ruthless and utterly incompetent gang of crooks in public office. They have been stealing and raping and lying for so long they never dreamed the rakyat would someday wake up and bring an abrupt end to their criminal careers.
Suaram represents the collective will of the people. Can any bunch of common criminals fight against an entire nation?
Even if you bring out the riot police and the army - how long before these uniformed personnel realise they are being asked to attack their own kith and kin? After all, with their uniforms off, they are also human beings - albeit brainwashed by Umno.
Ruben: The actions of the pro-government NGOs' actually go so show - and I presume that this also extends to the masters that they serve - just how scared they are that the Scorpene case as it evolves will have such a detrimental effect and actually uncover some real truths on the sheer corruption that went around.
Bar concerned about police harassment of Suaram lawyer
Truth1: I'm no lawyer, but this intimidation and harassment by the police of lawyers conducting their duties must be condemned by the Bar Council, Suhakam, civil society organisations and, indeed, everyone who is concerned about justice.
These bully-boy tactics, so typical of the way the despicable home minister operates, must not be tolerated and must be stopped.
Bumiasli: Bar Council should be bolder in their moves against such hooliganism. What has police got to do with this? If Bar Council bows down to this, the public will lose confidence in the legal system in Malaysia.
How can the lawyers submit confidential information or documents of their clients without justified cause? A firm "no" and a challenge should be issued to the police.
We still have faith in you, lawyers. Don't let us down. Do not set a precedence or you will end up being puppets as well.
AngryBird: Malaysians should not blame others for whatever harassment/injustice, lying, cheating and whatnot they are facing today because they are the ones who gave these Umno-BN scavengers the mandate to do that. In short, Malaysians are reaping what they sowed in GE12.
Sinner: If they can't get anyone, they will throw the book at Suaram's office cleaner.
