Motorists using the North-South Expressway for the Aidiladha holidays from Oct 25 to 28 are advised to follow the travel time advisory issued by Plus Malaysia Berhad (Plus).

Plus corporate communications head Mohd Nizam Ismail said advisories issued for festive seasons in the past have successfully helped the public plan their trip, avoid congestion and have a more pleasant journey.

“Therefore, Plus once again advises motorists going to their hometowns and coming back to the Klang Valley to heed the travel advisory,” he said in a statement in Kuala Lumpur today.

For Oct 25 and 26, travel times were proposed for the Klang Valley to Kedah, Perlis and Penang through Juru and the journey to Johor through Skudai, Senai Utara, Ayer Hitam, Yong Peng and Tangkak.

Travel time from the Klang Valley to Kuala Kangsar, Changkat Jering and Taiping as well as Malacca through Ayer Keroh are between noon and 3pm, while those heading to Ipoh, Simpang Pulai and Gopeng as well as Tampin and Alor Gajah through Simpang Ampat are recommended between 3pm and 6pm.

The public can begin entering the highway to Tapah, Bidor, Sungkai, Slim River, Tanjung Malim, Senawang, Port Dickson and Seremban after 6pm.

Vehicles with odd numbered licence plates travelling through Tambak, Johor, Linkedua and the Penang Bridge are advised to use the highway at odd hours such as 9am, 1pm and 7pm; while even numbered plates can start their journey during even hours.

On Oct 27 and 28, the proposed time for journeys on the North-South Expressway heading to the Klang Valley is before 9am and after 10pm, while those not going through the Klang Valley are advised for noon or after 6pm.

Vehicles with odd numbered plates are advised to begin their trip during odd hours and even numbered plates during even hours for journeys from the north and south through Tambak Johor and Linkedua as well as the Penang Bridge.
