Looking at the amount of money from the listing of Felda would generate, I am not surprised at all this had happened.

They would surely divide the catch among themselves first before throwing the scraps to others.

They are allocated thousands and millions of shares by Miti (Ministry of International Trade and Industry) and the banks are willing to finance them 100 percent.

Basically it is just ‘buta' (blind) money for them whereas the ordinary Malays get peanuts even from the allocation meant for the bumiputera.

No wonder the income disparity within the Malay community is the worst among the ethnic groups and getting wider. That is how Umno, the defender of the Malays, behave - "99 percent for me and 1 percent for you."

I failed to comprehend why my uncle still wants to vote for Umno-BN. Maybe he doesn't know the true fact yet.

Remember Anifah Aman, the brother of CM Musa Aman (most corrupt Sabah CM). At one time, he was criticising BN when he was only given a deputy minister's post. Everyone thought he was going to jump ship.

But when given the foreign minister's post, his true colours were revealed - no more criticism.

Whatshappenning: I don't understand why these politicians must run down other races and religions when they speak. Why can't these politicians try to do something better for the rakyat.

Build more affordable homes for the poor and medium-income group. Electricity charges have gone up three folds, do something about that.

I'm tired of the super sensitive Muslims who react at everything. Why is it that followers of other faiths do not react in a similar manner? Surely, it's not because they are less religious.

The problem rests with those who feel and then insist that Islam be put on a higher footing than other religions.

For example, why do supermarkets keep non-halal food in a separate section away from everything else? Is it because Muslims cannot even look at anything non-halal? Because they are sensitive? They don't seem to have the same problem or sensitivities in Indonesia.

Glaringly, there is no suggestion to keep beef in a separate section to be sensitive to Hindus? Or meat generally to be sensitive to some Buddhists or even vegetarians? In my view, true equality in all respects is the only way to go.

All religions, and for that matter, races, should be treated and respected equally. When there is inequality, there will inevitably be resentment. It's just a question of when that resentment boils over.

I'm sure most Malaysians (and I'm one of them) have no issue with Islam being the official religion. My problem is with the fact that other religions are clearly given less preference by the government. And that to me is a recipe for problems in nation building, unity, etc.
