Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak will be giving his riding leathers a workout on November 11, as he joins a superbike convoy in a record-setting event.

According to the New Straits Times, the PM will be riding a superbike for 18 kilometres in Putrajaya in the final leg of a convoy which would start in Johor Bahru on Nov 6.

The number 11 is Najib's favourite number.

Organisers Superbikers Association Malaysia said that 5000 bikers will participate in the event, with 355 of the bikers covering all the states in Peninsular Malaysia in a week.

Federation of Superbikers Association of Malaysia secretary general Sulaiman Samia'an was quoted as saying that bikers will be performing charity and community work at all the stops.

A fund to assist the Burmese Rohingya would also be launched in Johor Bahru.
