Undoing BN's wrongs, Gobala style
YOURSAY ‘Would you invite a thief into your house after he has burglarised your house so that he can undo the burglary and return your belongings?'
Gobala calls Pakatan 'anti-Hindu' over condo spat
LittleGiant:
Whatever said by Padang Serai MP N Gobalakrishnan just goes to show that he is nothing but a 'moron'. Even BN politicians might find his statement as most stupid and laughable.
If PKR leaders Anwar Ibrahim and Dr Xavier Jeyakumar are anti-Hindu as claimed by Gobalakrishnan, can we then conclude that the Indian BN representatives who were councillors in Majlis Perbandaran Selayang in November 2007 are also anti-Hindu?
After all, were they not the ones directly involved and approved the building plans for the condominium, knowing well that the project would have serious implications for the Batu Caves temple and surrounding areas?
Were they not more anti-Hindu, compared with Anwar and Xavier?
Anonymous_40f4: The status of the land belonging to Dolomite Industries was originally for quarry use.
The status was converted to commercial/residential use and subdivided (tukar syarat dan pecah sempadan) in 2005/2006 with the full approval of the then BN/MCA/MIC/PPP wakil (representatives) in the Majlis Perbandaran Selayang.
After that, the planning and building plans were approved by MPS with full consent of the BN reps in 2007/2008. So why the spin?
Chee Hoe Siew: And now, it is MIC's turn to play the "race and religion" card.
It is very clear from Pakatan's rebuttal that BN sneaked in the permit before Pakatan officially took over. It only goes to show that it is BN and not Pakatan that should be responsible for the condo.
If MIC really has a heart for the Indians and Hindus, how is it that the party has not fought for them for 50 over years and only started working after they have lost their seats?
Tholu: Gobala, you have, by your statements, proved yourself to be a hypocrite, an opportunist and a vindictive person.
You mention about the temple and mosque spat in Penang only now. But don't you realise that you joined PKR after the alleged incident? Where were your principles then?
And you, Hulu Selangor MP P Kamalanathan, MIC may need you but the Indians whom it is supposed to represent do not want neither you nor MIC.
A proposed 29-storey condo cannot have been planned and sketched within weeks. Therefore, although you were no longer a municipal councillor in 2007, the approval for the plans of the Batu Caves condo in that year could only have been a culmination of a few years of deliberation and preliminary approval before the final formal approval was endorsed.
Indeed, you could have been involved in the approval process in the few years before you left the councillor's post. Don't feign ignorance and innocence - reserve those skills for a Tamil serial.
Thisia: It's best that Gobala do not open his mouth. His remarks make him look stupid. But he is right to say that Umno-BN overlooked so many things. They were too busy swindling the rakyat's money.
And the best part was when Gobala asked us to vote for them again to undo the mistakes made by Umno-BN. Fifty years still not enough?
Aries46: This may sound idiotic but going by Gobala's reasoning that we need to vote BN back to power to undo the Batu Caves condo project development order, the implication is that we need to revert convicted criminals to their previous criminal status in order to recover the lost lives, limbs, cash and valuables of their victims.
Sometimes I wonder from where in the world PKR unearthed these talents as their chosen candidates in the 12th GE.
As for Gobala's claim that Najib has repented and apologised to the rakyat for having overlooked many things, the pertinent question is the level of the latter's sincerity.
Is Najib willing to make restitution for the many injustices and sufferings of the rakyat under the tyranny of the BN rule?
As for PKR, a word of caution in the selection of candidates for GE13. Please don't tell us that you were not warned. Think of the ugly frogs when you are vetting potential candidates.
HYL: Would you pardon a killer so that he could undo his killings? Would you invite a thief into your house after he has burglarised your house so that he can undo the burglary and return your belongings?
BN has governed this country for more than 53 years but the damage it did to this country is far more serious than the good it has done, and it is getting worse.
Bamboo: How to undo the marginalisation of Indians by BN over the last 55 years in four years? This deep-rooted problem can only be undone with the concerted efforts of many.
The first thing to do is to vote out BN. Please don't fall for some goodies from BN before the general election, then get stepped on again after BN wins.
PaperRoses: For people with brains, it is once bitten twice shy. For Gobala, it is once bitten twice stupid. I laughed so, so much when I read about voting back the BN to let it undo its own evils.
No wonder in Malaysia, when the police kill an Indian it is okay for them to do their own investigation to undo their crime. No wonder in Malaysia it is okay to just send back a multimillion dollar diamond after it was exposed to undo the corruption.
No wonder in Malaysia it is okay to wipe out the immigration records of Altantuya Shaariibuu to undo the murder. It is because we have idiot lawmakers like Gobala.
Mushiro: Gobalakrishnan wants us to vote for BN so that the BN can undo their wrongs. Can BN bring back to life A Kugan and the many Indian deaths in the police lock-ups?
Can BN undo the billions of ringgit that went into their pockets through mega corruption? Can BN undo the many failed projects? Can BN undo the injustice to the other races?
Can BN undo the education policy, the government employment policies, the unfairness and the misrule?
Why not just allow Pakatan to undo all these wrongs by BN? We can already see the vast improvements in Penang and Selangor.
Telestai!: Having received his 30 pieces of silver to do the devil's bidding, Gobala comes back for more. What a disgrace.
