Floods force evacuation of 1,200 in Dengkil
A total of 1,238 people have been evacuated to eight flood relief centres in Dengkil, in Sepang, Selangor, today after heavy rains caused their houses to be flooded.
A total of 1,238 people have been evacuated to eight flood relief centres in Dengkil, in Sepang, Selangor, today after heavy rains caused their houses to be flooded.
A spokesman from the National Security Council, Prime Minister's Department, said so far the situation was not life threatening.
Among the areas affected were Kampung Semarang, Jalan Kebun, Bukit Changgang and the Kuala Langat area.
Meanwhile, in Kuala Lumpur, the Fire and Rescue Department reported a minor landslide near house No 12, Jalan Negeri Sembilan, Persiaran Negeri Sembilan.
No casualty was reported.
Kuala Lumpur City Hall reported several fallen trees in Wangsa Maju, Bukit Tunku and Old Klang Road as a result of heavy downpour.
