PKR has revamped its election website with three new features, one of this being a more secure and convenient way for supporters to make donations to the party.
"There are new security features for credit card and other payment methods, to assure donors that their contributions are directed specifically to our election efforts," PKR communications director Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad said today.
He was speaking at a press conference at Petaling Jaya PKR headquarters, at which he announced the launch of party's revamped website, . It went live at 7am today.
Making a plea for donations, Nik Nazmi said a contribution of just RM10 could feed a PKR volunteer for one day.
Another new feature allows netizens to register themselves on the website to obtain updated information on PKR's election happenings.
He said the revamped website also allows visitors to share the party's messages, speeches, visuals and other related stuff in the social media such as Facebook and Twitter.
The website in the party's trademark blue colour is bilingual, in Bahasa Malaysia and English, and Nik Nazmi said the other languages would be added in the future.
Asked whether the new website could match the online election campaigns of its BN rivals, Nik Nazmi was positive.
"We are confident in facing the BN (in online campaigns). This is definitely a level-playing field, unlike the mainstream media, radio and television with which we are facing difficulty," he added.
