Two sets of parents took home the wrong babies from Singapore's KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital on Sunday due to a hospital error, according to a report in The Straits Times newspaper.  

The Straits Times

reported that the mistake was discovered soon after, and that both babies were back with their real parents.  

The newspaper quoted the hospital as saying in a statement yesterday evening that the incident came to light when one of the parents noticed that the baby wore an identification tag belonging to another mother.

The hospital said it “unreservedly apologises to the parents for the error and will take all steps to prevent any recurrence”.
