Hospital hands overs glass apparitions to church

A Malaysian hospital today turned over two glass panels bearing apparent Catholic images to the church.
“One of the panes has on it marks that some claim resemble artistic depictions of Mary, the Mother of Jesus,” the Sime Darby Medical Centre in Subang Jaya said in a statement.
The other glass panel contained an image which resembles the face of Jesus Christ, according to some devotees who have seen it.
Hundreds of Catholics have flocked to the hospital on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur to offer prayers and give thanks since the evocative discolouration patterns first appeared on Nov 8.
The hospital said the glass panels were removed by professionals to ensure they were not damaged.
They will be placed in a nearby church and tested by theologians, said Father Simon Labrooy, who took custody of the panels.
Christians comprise about 10 percent of the 28 million people in mainly Muslim Malaysia.
