The High Court in Kuantan has postponed the case management hearing for the defamation suit by Lynas (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Lynas) against anti-Lynas group, Save Malaysia Stop Lynas, to Dec 17.
The High Court in Kuantan has postponed the case management hearing for the defamation suit by Lynas (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Lynas) against anti-Lynas group, Save Malaysia Stop Lynas, to Dec 17.
Justice Mariana Yahya said the court would wait for the outcome this Thursday of an appeal by Lynas at the Putrajaya Appeal Court.
Lynas, who had filed the suit at the Kuala Lumpur High Court, is appealing against a decision by the former to transfer the case to the Kuantan High Court.
The transfer was applied by the anti-Lynas group and two other defendants, Tan Bun Teet and Lim Sow Teow, and was allowed by Kuala Lumpur High Court Judge John Louis O’Hara.
Lynas was represented by lawyer Jeff Leong while the defendants by lawyer Bastian Vendargon.
