DAP chairperson Karpal Singh was left deeply touched by the apology made by Dewan Rakyat speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia to him on Thursday, the last day of the August house sitting.

NONE Karpal, who is Bukit Gelugor Member of Parliament, said this in a statement today.

In his turn, he also asked for forgiveness for the many transgressionn in which an apology was due from him to Pandikar Amin ( left ).

On Thursday, Pandikar Amin apologised to Karpal over his spontaneous remarks that the MP might have been suffering from pain for not raising his hand when taking oath as an MP.

The incident happened at the beginning of the 12th parliament session on April 28, 2008 and Pandikar Amin in his apology said that he only found out later that Karpal could not raise his hand.

Pandikar Amin also said the remarks were made when he was still new and had no intention to hurt anyone and he would feel bad if he did not apologise to Karpal.
