Malaysia’s first Tamil animation ‘ Estate Boy ’ will be aired on TV2 Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) next January.   

The 13-episode drama, produced by Media Broadcast Sdn Bhd, tells the story of four friends named Sakhti, Ah Cai, Dollah and Reshma who meet Muthu, a genie in a cave.  

The production, which took a year and a half to be completed, was launched by Information Communication and Culture deputy minister Senator Maglin Dennis D’Cruz in Kuala Lumpure today.

Maglin described the drama as a nostalgic way of recalling the harmony and spirit of friendship experienced by estate residents once upon a time.

“I believe that through this drama, we’ll see again all the values of our community which make Malaysia such a peaceful, prosperous and unique country,” he said.
